Straightening Crooked Teeth with Orthodontics
Braces use a combination of brackets, wires and rubber bands to guide your teeth into their ideal position over time. The brackets, made of metal, ceramic or plastic, are bonded to the front surfaces of your teeth. Wires are pulled through the brackets, effectively linking your teeth together. When these wires are tightened, your teeth will adapt and move. In the span of two and a half to three years, Dr. David can completely correct your bite and straighten your crooked teeth.
What Are Six Month Braces®?
Orthodontic treatment times can be drastically reduced with Six Month Braces®. This method of treatment still utilizes a system of brackets and wires but can straighten teeth in roughly six months. The main difference between traditional orthodontics and Six Month Braces® is that Six Month Braces® is used to reposition the front, visible crowded or crooked teeth only. If you have serious bite issues that involve the back teeth, Dr. David may recommend traditional orthodontics.
What to Expect from Orthodontic Treatment
